The Magic of Growing in Community: Lessons Only a Camp Like Camp Santa Úrsula Can Offer

Introduction: Learning Without Even Noticing

There are places where the most important lessons don't happen inside a classroom, but rather in the middle of nature, by a campfire, or while facing a challenge alongside other children. Camp Santa Úrsula is one of those places.

Here, every activity, every conversation, and every laugh has a hidden purpose: to build more conscious, connected, and resilient individuals. It’s not just a summer camp—it’s a platform for personal and social development that leaves a lifelong impact.

The Power of Community: Belonging to Grow

One of the strongest pillars of Camp Santa Úrsula is the sense of community built between campers and staff. At this camp, everyone has a place. There are no labels, no exclusions. Every child finds a space where they can be authentic, valued, and supported.

That sense of belonging fosters:

  • Personal security
  • Natural empathy
  • Genuine solidarity
  • Respect for diversity

These experiences are fundamental for building healthy relationships and developing lifelong skills.

Growing Through Real Experiences

Nothing teaches better than direct experience. At Camp Santa Úrsula, children face small daily challenges that help them:

  • Make decisions independently
  • Manage frustrations and emotions
  • Discover hidden talents
  • Strengthen their self-esteem through personal achievements

Living away from the family environment allows each child to see themselves from a different perspective, to test themselves in new situations, and to develop their identity with greater autonomy.

An Environment That Educates Without Imposing

Camp Santa Úrsula has been designed so that every corner of the camp becomes a learning opportunity. From group dynamics to moments of silence, everything is carefully crafted to guide children and teens without directing or pressuring them.

This approach is also reflected in their communication. Through an honest and approachable digital presence, Santa Úrsula conveys the same values it lives within the camp. Their website, developed with the support of educational experience experts, emotionally connects from the very first visit.

These types of platforms don't just inform—they transmit. And that’s essential for a brand that works with real emotions.

The Role of the Staff: Guides, Not Just Instructors

The adults working at Camp Santa Úrsula are not just trained to supervise or entertain. They are mentors, role models, and emotional companions. They are chosen not only for their experience but for their ability to genuinely connect with children through respect and empathy.

Thanks to this connection, the camp’s impact multiplies. Campers don't just remember activities—they remember the people who shaped their way of thinking and acting.

Purpose-Driven Technology: How Santa Úrsula Communicates

In a world saturated with information, the way a brand communicates says a lot about its identity. Santa Úrsula has opted for a digital strategy that is consistent, sensitive, and clear. From social media to the website, everything conveys values, community, and trust.

To achieve this, they have worked with teams that understand the value of emotional connection in digital communication. A good example is the design of their platform, which achieves a balance between functionality, visual warmth, and clear structure.

Frequently Asked Questions about the camp

We answer all your questions!

What is the age range for children to sign up for camp?

In the Camps we only welcome boys and girls from 7 to 15 years of age.

Who takes care of the children?

The children are cared for by an instructor and an assistant, together with instructors specialized in various activities and camp managers who are on the lookout for all campers.

If my child goes with a friend can they be together?

Yes, as long as the children are the same age and both they and the parents agree. Although we can't commit to more than 3 campers on the same team.

Do the rooms or cabins have their own bathrooms?

The vast majority of rooms or cabins have their own bathroom.

Do you help young children bathe and dress?

No, we ask that you consider that children should be independent in activities such as bathing, dressing, combing their hair, going to the bathroom and taking care of their things. Instructors are waiting, but cannot take care of each child individually.

How is communication with children? Can we talk to them?

Calls are not allowed. The communication is through messages on the camp page, delivered daily at breakfast time or the first activity in the morning. Children respond to these messages in letters that are taken photos and sent to the parents' emails.

If my child is carrying medications, how do they manage them?

We have medical staff who administer medications. Parents should write down the information in the registry and hand in medications when leaving their children at the camp.

What do you do in case of an accident? Do they warn us?

The protocols are followed. In case of minor injuries, there is no warning so as not to worry parents. There's a paramedic in the camp. In more serious cases, parents are contacted before taking the child to the hospital.

Do you have any health insurance?

Yes, we have accident insurance that covers up to $150,000.00.

How safe is the camp? Do you have any systems in place?

The camp is safe, with measures such as electric fences, closed circuit television, among others.
