Beyond Fun: Personal Growth Through Every Camp Activity

Play as a Tool for Growth

At a summer camp in Mexico, play isn’t just fun—it’s a powerful tool for transformation. Each dynamic, from team competitions to creative workshops, offers campers small challenges that help them build confidence, overcome fears, and discover who they truly are.

Learning by Doing: Experiences That Leave a Mark

At Campamento Santa Úrsula, every activity is designed with purpose. Whether it's a round of go-karts and motor sports, a supervised rock climbing and rappelling session, or an afternoon of group dynamics, everything is aimed at promoting emotional and social development in a safe, engaging environment.

We believe that hands-on learning is essential to building life skills. That’s why our programming includes:

  • Creative and experiential workshops
  • Outdoor adventure challenges
  • Structured leadership and empathy programs
  • Daily routines that build autonomy and responsibility

These moments go far beyond the surface—they are designed to shape confident, empathetic individuals.

Safe Spaces for Emotional Exploration

One of the core elements of Campamento Santa Úrsula is its emphasis on emotional development. In a space free from distractions and judgment, campers feel safe to express themselves, take emotional risks, and grow.

Supervised 24/7 by trained staff and with access to dedicated support like our on-site psychologist “Big Mamá,” we ensure that every camper feels heard and supported. Through structured activities and open dialogue, children learn to:

  • Recognize and name their emotions
  • Develop strategies to navigate interpersonal challenges
  • Build resilience and self-awareness

Teamwork That Builds Life Skills

Whether it’s during team-building activities, sports, or camp-wide challenges, the ability to work together is reinforced daily. Our camp for kids and teens promotes collaboration through:

  • Trust-based group games
  • Cooperative problem-solving tasks
  • Reflection sessions after each activity

These experiences not only build social skills but also prepare them for real-world scenarios where empathy, patience, and communication are key.

A Camp That Reflects Global Standards

With an internationally inspired approach, Campamento Santa Úrsula integrates best practices from camps in the U.S. and Europe—without leaving the country. Our team includes bilingual leaders, and many of our campers come from diverse backgrounds, making this a truly global experience in the heart of San Luis Potosí.

What sets us apart?

An Unforgettable Journey of Growth, Confidence and Purpose

Choosing a summer camp in Mexico for your child is not merely about filling their vacation with fun activities—it’s a decision that can profoundly shape their future. At Campamento Santa Úrsula, we believe that every moment at camp is a unique opportunity for personal discovery, emotional development, and lasting growth.

Through carefully designed experiences—whether it’s a thrilling go-kart ride, a team-based obstacle course, or a quiet moment of reflection under the stars—campers are constantly learning about who they are and how they relate to the world around them. These are not just games or routines; they are powerful tools for developing self-confidence, empathy, independence, and leadership.

Many of our campers arrive shy, unsure, or even a little anxious. But in just a few days, with the guidance of our trained staff and the support of a community built on trust and shared values, they begin to open up. They start expressing themselves more freely, taking initiative, facing challenges with determination, and forming friendships that often last a lifetime.

Parents frequently tell us how surprised they are at the changes they see in their children after camp: greater maturity, better communication skills, more patience, and a newfound sense of responsibility. This transformation is the result of a space where young people are not only entertained but deeply supported—emotionally, physically, and mentally.

And the best part? All of this happens without leaving the country. Our camp in San Luis Potosí offers an internationally inspired experience rooted in the beauty of Mexico’s landscapes and cultural warmth. With 24/7 supervision, first-class facilities, and a staff that truly cares, your child is in the best hands.

If you're looking for a place where your child will not only have fun, but grow as a person, strengthen their emotional intelligence, build real-world skills, and gain the kind of self-awareness that schools and screens can’t always provide—Campamento Santa Úrsula is your answer.

It’s more than a summer. It’s a journey of growth.
It’s more than a camp. It’s a life-shaping experience.
It’s more than a break from routine. It’s a spark that can ignite confidence for years to come.

Frequently Asked Questions about the camp

We answer all your questions!

What is the age range for children to sign up for camp?

In the Camps we only welcome boys and girls from 7 to 15 years of age.

Who takes care of the children?

The children are cared for by an instructor and an assistant, together with instructors specialized in various activities and camp managers who are on the lookout for all campers.

If my child goes with a friend can they be together?

Yes, as long as the children are the same age and both they and the parents agree. Although we can't commit to more than 3 campers on the same team.

Do the rooms or cabins have their own bathrooms?

The vast majority of rooms or cabins have their own bathroom.

Do you help young children bathe and dress?

No, we ask that you consider that children should be independent in activities such as bathing, dressing, combing their hair, going to the bathroom and taking care of their things. Instructors are waiting, but cannot take care of each child individually.

How is communication with children? Can we talk to them?

Calls are not allowed. The communication is through messages on the camp page, delivered daily at breakfast time or the first activity in the morning. Children respond to these messages in letters that are taken photos and sent to the parents' emails.

If my child is carrying medications, how do they manage them?

We have medical staff who administer medications. Parents should write down the information in the registry and hand in medications when leaving their children at the camp.

What do you do in case of an accident? Do they warn us?

The protocols are followed. In case of minor injuries, there is no warning so as not to worry parents. There's a paramedic in the camp. In more serious cases, parents are contacted before taking the child to the hospital.

Do you have any health insurance?

Yes, we have accident insurance that covers up to $150,000.00.

How safe is the camp? Do you have any systems in place?

The camp is safe, with measures such as electric fences, closed circuit television, among others.
